Newark, NJ-A 16-year-old has been arrested for his role in a double shooting in Newark that happened outside of West Side High School last week.
Newark police said a 13-year-old and an 18-year-old were injured in the shooting August 9.
The 16-year-old faced aggravated assault and weapons charges. Police said he is from Connecticut and was in the area visiting a relative.
Another teenager, who is already in custody for a separate incident, is also suspected to be involved in the shooting, police said. The defendants weren’t names because they are minors.
There are no further details at this time.
