Williams, CA- On Friday a California Patrol Officer was stabbed in the back by Haile Neil, 25 after she was pulled over for driving 100 mph on Interstate 5.
The officer pulled Neil over, and suspected that she had been impaired. The officer asked Neil to exit the vehicle so he can conduct a field sobriety test, at which time Neil pulled out a concealed knife and stabbed the officer in the back. A tow truck passing by saw the incident and stopped to help the officer
Neil has been charged with attempt murder and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries and has been released.
