Fresno, CA-California police are on the hunt Monday for a group of “unknown suspects” who opened fire last night at a backyard football viewing party in Fresno and left four people dead.
Authorities say 10 people were hit with gunfire during the incident, which occurred around 8 p.m.
Three people were reported dead at the scene, while a fourth succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Five of those wounded had non-life threatening injuries while a sixth person is being treated after he was grazed by a bullet, according to Fresno Deputy Chief Michael Reid.
“What we do know is that this was a gathering, a family and friend gathering in the backyard,” Lt. Bill Dooley reported.
“Everyone was watching football this evening when unknown suspects approached the residence, snuck into the backyard and opened fire.”
During a news conference, Reid stated that all 10 victim were Asian males between the ages of 25 and 35, and there were about three dozen people at the party.
There are no descriptions of the suspects at this time.

Fisher, IN-A K9 officer with the Fishers Police Department was shot and killed while tracking two suspects involved in a car chase.
Police received a call about a drunk driver on I-69 around 12 a.m on Wednesday morning. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver kept going.
The vehicle stopped on Olio Road and two people exited and fled on foot.
A K9 unit was called to the scene to track the suspects. K9 Officer Harlej was tracking them off-lead when officers heard what sounded like a gunshot.
Officers apprehended both suspects and took them into custody. K9 Harlej was later found dead in the same wooded area.
Garrett was charged with striking a law enforcement animal, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, theft, residential entry, possession of marijuana, unauthorized entry into a vehicle and possession of a handgun without a license. Farrow faces a preliminary charge of false informing in addition to having outstanding warrants.
Both are being held in the Hamilton County Jail.
Harlej was 5 years old. Officer Jarred Koopman was his handler since he joined the department in 2015.
Santa Clarita, CA-Authorities are reporting at least seven people were shot Thursday morning on the campus of Sangus High School in Santa Clarita, prompting a massive response from sheriff’s deputies and paramedics.
A Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson confirmed firefighters responded to the shooting before 8 a.m. at the school at 21900 Centurion Way. The condition of the victims is unknown at this time.
The shooter remains at large. A description of the male shooter is not available at this time.
