Baltimore, MD-A 22-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after her mother was found dead in a fire.
Police said firefighters were called to the unit block of South Morely Street just before 1 a.m. on March 6. Firefighters extinguished the fire and found Tinestta Young, 50, unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Eshyna Young, 22, is currently held at Central Booking charged with her mother's murder.
"I don't think about (it), I try not to think try not to think about it. Doesn't come as a surprise or shock," neighbor, "Mitchell" Bernis Stanely said.
Officials at the medical examiner's office examined the body and deemed the cause of death was not from the fire, but by asphyxiation.
Eshyna Young was arrested Monday without incident. She has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree arson.
A motive has not yet been determined. She is waiting to see a court commissioner.
