According to the Chicago Police Department the two primary suspects told investigators that the empire star Jussie Smollett paid them to set up the attack
The brothers told investigators that they in fact know Smollett, and he paid them off in reference to the attack.
Fox 32 News has also learned that police found a receipt for the rope found on Smollett's neck in the brothers' possession showing they had purchased it from an Ace Hardware in Chicago. The two brothers were released by the police once they agreed to cooperate with police, after detectives said they would charge them with battery. Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed detectives have reached out to Smollett's attorneys and expressed that they need to talk with Smollett. The investigation is ongoing and questions are arising if the story was made up

Now, he should be charged with filing a false Police report, and if convicted at trial, spend some time in the County jail, and be made to pay restitution to CPD to cover the cost of the investigation.

He should be charge for this "prank" BC the officers have so much to do they something like this no only puts their lives in danger BUT someone could have lost their life BC the officers were working a "fake case" when others lives were really at stake. RIDICULOUS!! NOW PAY FOR IT!!
