Cleveland, OH-Seven month old baby hospitalized with alcohol level 3 times the adult legal limit3/8/2019 Cleveland, OH-An investigation is underway in Cleveland after a seven month old baby was admitted to the hospital with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit for driving. According to police, the baby’s aunt had been babysitting the infant. The mother dropped her daughter off before she left for work on Sunday morning. When she arrived to pick up the child, the mother said she was not acting normal. According to police, a police report said the baby was unresponsive and limp when she arrived at the hospital around 8 p.m. Hospital staff initially thought the baby suffered an opioid overdose and gave the baby naloxone, a drug that reverses opioid overdoses. They then found she had a .25 percent blood alcohol content. The baby’s mother and aunt said they did not know how the alcohol got into the baby’s system. Another relative believed alcohol was put in the baby's bottle so she would sleep because she was crying. Details have not been released about the baby’s condition.
