Cobb county, GA-A man went bizarre on a water truck delivery man outside of a complex before getting shot by responding officers Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened a short time before noon in the parking lot of the complex near lake park drive. A witness stated "Quite strange. As of we know right now, about an hour ago, we received a call for service for a person armed in the complex behind me. There was an individual who had approached a water truck that was apparently making deliveries and engaged in a conversation which turned into an argument with a couple of citizens that we know of,” Harvey said. “From that point, the individual pulled a weapon from his pocket and started emptying his revolver into a truck. Obviously, demolishing water bottles, and these bottles are made of glass. He then pulled some out and then slamming them on the ground.”
According to a witness, the man started arguing with the delivery truck driver. The man then pulls out a revolver and started firing several shots into the truck causing damage to the glass water bottles. Officer quickly arrived on scene. The suspect lowered his weapon and then raised it again at officers. The officers gave verbal commands and then fired.Medics took the man who was alive at the scene to a local hospital. Police did not immediately release the name of the wounded man. A man who fired shots at a water delivery truck at a Smyrna office complex was shot by officers, Smyrna Police said Thursday. The shooting happened just before Noon in the parking lot of the office complex on Village Parkway near Lake Park Drive. “Our officers saw the weapon in his hand, they started to repeatedly telling him to put the weapon down, he refused to. My understanding is he started to raise his weapon and one of our officers struck him with his sidearm. At that point we immediately called EMS, started rendering first aid, he was transported to the hospital,” Harvey said.
