Seattle-A man was arrested Monday night after police say he stole a cherry picker truck with a worker inside the bucket.
The incident happened in the 700 block of Fourth Avenue after 7 p.m.
Police say the two workers were installing a sign on a light pole when a man approached them and started shouting at them.
Police say the man got into the cab of the truck, which still had the keys in it and running, and drove away in downtown Seattle.
One of the workers was in the bucket of the cherry picker. The other worker chased after the truck and called 911.
The man drove a few blocks before the other worker caught up to the truck and pulled the man out of the vehicle. The worker held the man until police arrived.
Police took the man into custody.
The worker inside the cherry picker bucket was inured from being thrown around in the bucket as the truck drove away.
The man was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping and auto theft.
