Police Have Been Defunded And Reformed, But Where Is The Criminal Reform? Have Criminals Been Defunded?
Well its that time of the year again folks, seems like its almost every day at this point, but nonetheless, our Police have been the targets of reform for the past year, but what about the people who break the law. Have they been reformed? Have they been Defunded?
If you have been paying attention, then you probably already know that the answer to that question is NO!
Shootings and homicides, which dipped during the initial lockdown phase of the pandemic, are now rising at alarmingly high rates. In New York, the homicide rate for the first half of the year is up 23% over 2019, led by a huge spike in recent violence. In Chicago, homicides jumped 39%. Los Angeles has seen double-digit rises in homicides.
With all of this defunding the police going around, why haven't officials started working to lower these crime numbers. If Police are truly the problem, then why do we have more crime now than we did pre-covid?
The world seems cold. Everyone thinks everyone is racist and police are made to believe that they are hated when in fact its simply not true. The only people that benefit from less police, are criminals. Just look at Minneapolis.
Albert Einstein said it best.
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Albert Einstein
So the answer to the question.. Is Simply no. We have lost public safety while doing nothing to keep the dangers of society at bay. We are literally entering a danger zone. The day you take away protectors and do nothing about the offenders, is the day society will see a new dark age.
