Seattle, WA—Seattle Police Detectives are attempting to locate a man who is wanted for brandishing a gun and trying to kidnap a Oman while she waited for her ride in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
On February 1 at approximately 4:25 a.m., the victim was on 11th Ave between E. Union and E. Pike St. waiting for her rides are. Police say the woman said while she was waiting, a man drove by slowly and stared at her. The suspect then parked and ordered the victim into his car at gunpoint. The victim then screamed and ran away. The suspect got in his vehicle and fled.
The victim got into her rideshare, and they called police. Detectives said they have surveillance video of the incident, but are not releasing it at this time. Seattle Police have released a sketch of the suspect, a black man in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5’10, with a medium build. The suspect is believed to be driving an early 2000s Nissan Maxima (or similar appearing vehicle) that is dark in color. The car has scrapes or scratches on the driver’s side.
