SOMERVILLE, MA — Police continue to search for a bank robbery suspect who shot at officers in Somerville Wednesday morning.
The suspect exchanged gunfire with police during a robbery at the Middlesex Federal Savings Bank on College Avenue just before 10 a.m., police said. No one was hit, and the suspect fled the area on foot.

He is described as a 20-35-year-old Hispanic man standing 5 feet 10 inches, with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a black stocking hat, camouflage jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Surveillance video from a nearby business showed the man running into a pedestrian and dropping a black bag on the ground shortly after the robbery.
A person of interest in the case was detained and is cooperating, police said. State Police and the FBI are assisting in the investigation.
