Every year we take time out to appreciate our law enforcement officers
January, 9 2020 is officially law enforcement appreciation day. We would like to take the time to appreciate all those who served and are currently serving. We know this job gets tough. We know some of the things you’ve seen can’t be unseen, but we would like you to know we support you., We are here for you and we love you.
We thought we would share a poem written by Officer Parker.
Author: Officer Parker.
We understand the battles you fought today. Rest assure that you are appreciated as the sun sets to end the day that yours is just beginning. It's understood that you are publicly crucified for the actions you take, good or bad. It's known that you understand that one day you may say I'll see you later but unbeknownst to you that was your last goodbye.. in-spite, you gear up, tie your boots and chamber one all before dusk sets in.. you live in the seconds, because death looms at every tick of the clock hand.. few understand you, few know you and even less are aware of what you do, but when dawn rises and demons of night crawl back into hiding, the people whom freedom you sacrificed sleep for awake and go about their days as if the freedom was owed to them. You take the shield off that bears the weight of the world, the boots come untied and your nocturnal beings take over, for that was only a small victory in a huge war.. darkness will come again, and you will have to gear up once more to save those who know not what you do.. who care nothing of your existence, yet in-spite of such, you pick the weight of the world of your table and pin it to your chest, once again... night has fallen..
