- Police believe armed car burglars caught in metro Atlanta could be tied to as many as 40 crimes.
Canton police arrested six teenagers they say stole from vehicles in the Great Sky subdivision.
Some of the alleged thefts and break-ins were caught on home surveillance cameras.
Canton police arrested six people on felony entering auto charges.
They identified the suspects as Quinn Chajuan Dawson, 19, of Atlanta, Jacquez Daquan Ivey, 19, of Warm Spring, Darell Marrion, 17, of College Park, Tyjuan Shecorn Burch, 18, of Atlanta, and two minors were also charged.
"We recovered four stolen handguns, as well as a laptop, clothing and other merchandise," Pacer Cordry with Canton Police said.
Goldberg said the thefts are unsettling in her own home.
“It’s very scary. It’s summertime and you think you're safe in your home,” Goldberg said.
Detectives said the group could be responsible for at least 40 car break-ins in the metro area.
